look alive magazine cover

A graphic design exercise meant to call back to the iconic style of ‘90s skateboarding magazine covers. This project also served as an opportunity to experiment with a dragon character design for my personal branding.

dragon mascot concept art

I’ve always been inspired by Doug Chiang’s character concept art, so I decided to try making my own. The end result is this character who is now my branding mascot.

fit check.

Inspired by Tom Sachs’ Nike collaboration, I wanted to create my own ‘fake ad’ where known brands exist in a universe with anthropomorphic characters who love to dress up. Multiple color combinations were made and uploaded to diffrent sites so diffrent audiences saw diffrent wardrobes.

group graphic design experiment

Following the sucsess of Fit Check, I had an idea to invlude multiple artist in a single project where mascot wardrops were celebrated. I reached out to a couple international artist friends who were interested in the idea, gave them and myself rules and a deadline, and went from there.

The end result was three total designs, each representing the artist’s mascot in an atire of their choosing.

The group project concluded with all three of us posting our artwork on social media at the same time, then reposting each other’s work. This created a magazine-thumbing effect when our followers interacted with the art in their timelines, something never attempted before.

The stunt drew attention of a few dozen other artists who shown interest in being part of the next collaboration as well as future clients looking for graphic illustrators.
